OEM AUDIO PREMIERSHIP TO COMMENCE

After much preparation, we look forward to the OEM Audio Two-Day Premiership starting this weekend. Despite some damp weather over the last day, generally conditions have been excellent and thanks to the preparedness and hard work of ground staff, Premier pitches have been under cover during the wet weather.

Interest will certainly centre on how Riccarton fare on their return to the grade and with Canterbury Captain Cole McConchie and former England Under 19 player Ross Whitfield both being named in the team, they aim to start well against Sydenham, who finished as runner-up last year.

Last seasons winner Burnside West have retained the bulk of their squad who won the competition with a round to spare last season and they host St Albans, who also have an excellent record in this competition over recent seasons.

Last seasons third place getters Lancaster Park, travel to Burwood  Park to face East Shirley.  These sides closely matched last season so it is sure to be a close encounter.

In the final game of the round, Old Boys Collegians host Heathcote.  These sides finished 4th and 5th last season, so another close game is to be expected.

The EV Power Premier Women commence on 12th October.
